The AiM MyChron 5S Data Logger is our game-changing piece of kit for thrill-seekers and competitive kart racers, on scaled-down circuits and professional tracks, all you need to do is arrive and drive.

With this kit, you get the Myrchron expansion and OTK  Non-contact Throttle Sensor included with the MyChron 5s. You can also choose an OTK Brake Position sensor and an OTK Brake Pressure sensor.

The latest version of the AiM Mychron 5S has landed. Our game-changing datalogger has been specifically designed for Kart racing whether you're on a scaled-down circuit or a professional full-sized motorsport circuit for thrill-seekers and competitive races this is the datalogger for you.

The GPS frequency has improved from 10 to 25Hz and the precision and accuracy have been improved from about 5 feet to 2.

With integrated GPS this system takes advantage of our global track database, to automatically understand which track you're at. When you get to the track switch on your MyChron 5S and it will determine its position, identify the track and start loading start/finish line coordinates. Even the predictive time is much more reliable thanks to the GPS you will know the exact time gap vs your best lap.

The MyChron 5S Kart lap timer features a high-resolution graphical display with built-in 25Hz GPS to sample and record lap times. The MyChron 5S combined with a choice of Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor and Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor and RPM connection makes it the ultimate karting lap timer.

The MyChron 5S logs and stores speed, lap times (including split and predictive), gear, temperature, RPM as well as data from the optional sensors when connected to the MyChron Expansion Box, such as throttle position sensors, brake position and pressure sensors, steering angle sensors and the LCU-One Lambda Controller and SmartyCam which are available in our accessories tab.

Display

The MyChron 5S has seven display colours to choose from. This will enable you to have a clear view and easily read the numerical readouts on the track such as your lap times and lap number RPM and one temperature value. When you're back at the paddock you can scroll through all your data on the display.

The Nylon chassis and metallic pushbuttons guarantee even more resistance to shock and water, while the anti-scratch non-reflecting polycarbonate screen and wider display offer great readability.

The MyChron 5S also features an ambient light sensor providing optimum viewing in diverse lighting conditions, the display brightness is automatically adjusted according to the environment light.

Shift Light & Alarm LEDs

The MyChron 5S features five RGB LED shift lights that can be configured for each gear. You can choose the colour and value threshold for the activation. Or configure them to show your best lap time/split time, monitor the RPM level.

The alarm LEDs are also easily configurable to the engine parameters you require, such as exhaust gas temperature (EGT) and water temperature.

Configurable Pages

There are various options for you to configure your display for whatever suits your viewing. You can do this via the software or the device.

The MyChron 5S has built-in Wi-Fi, this enables you to download your data and customise advanced GPS coordinates for split times via Race Studio 3.

You can assign a password so you can securely protect your data.

Rechargeable Lithium Battery

The MyChron 5S is powered by a detachable rechargeable lithium battery. The battery life last approximately 10 of use.

The non-contact throttle position sensor kit to suit OTK kart measures the throttle pedal travel to see if the driver applies the desired percentage of throttle throughout the lap.

The kit has been designed specifically to fit all OTK karts and comes complete with all the necessary brackets making installation very easy.

Main Functions

The magnets mount to the pedals and the sensor to the kart, with no messy wires getting in the way.

It gives an exact indication of the pedal position, measures its travel and shows all values in percentage in a 0 to 100 range.

An effortless way to evaluate a driver's behaviour and improve their performance.

Suitable for use with the AIM MyChron4, MyChron5, MyChron4 2T and MyChron5 2T Kart Dash / Data Loggers. The sensor comes complete with the patch lead required to connect the sensor to the MyChron Expansion box, the standard method of connecting it to your system.

AiM Mychron Expansion 

The AiM Mychron Expansion is a channel multiplier used for improving the Mychron5 S & Mychron5 S 2T performances.

Mychron Expansion

The AiM MyChron Expansion is an add-on for the MyChron4, MyChron5, Mychron5 S and Mychron5 S T2 Kart Racing Data Logging Dash.

It plugs into the CAN expansion port on your MyChron dash to expand its capabilities. The Expansion has a single CAN expansion port plus four additional sensor inputs.

All four inputs can accept our karting sensors (brake/throttle pedal position, temperature, steering angle, etc.). One of the four inputs can accept a speed sensor.

The Mychron requires an external 12-volt power source such as your kart's battery.

Mychron Expansion 

Thanks to four additional channels and a further CAN bus, the MyChron Expansion channel multiplier improves MyChron5 and MyChron5 2T (and MyChron4 and MyChron4 2T) performance.

Through this last connector, you can connect the systems to LCU-One Lambda controller and SmartyCam HD (and to GPS and Data key for MyChron4 systems).
Thanks to its specific wirings, MyChron Expansion powers the systems and peripherals with an external battery, avoiding internal battery consumption.

All channels are easily configurable as analogue through the system menu to sample data coming from:

*Exhaust gas valve position sensor (essential to understand at which RPM value the exhaust port opens)
*Wheel speed sensor: The first input on the left can also be configured as digital input
*No contact brake pedal position sensor
*No contact throttle pedal position sensor (to know if and when to accelerate)
*Brake pressure sensor
*Water temperature or cylinder head temperature (PT100 thermo-resistor only)
*Steering angle potentiometer (to highlight over/under steering situations)
*Brake pedal potentiometer
*Throttle pedal potentiometer

Build A Network & add Optional extras

The acquisition of all essential data you need to evaluate your kart's performance requires connecting many peripherals to your Mychron. This means a large number of extra cables.

Using our Data Hub, a CAN connection multiplier that works as an interface between all our AiM loggers and peripheral equipment to solve this problem.

Each Hub connects the logger with four peripherals such as LCU Lambda Controller, GPS Module and one more TC Hub. The data hub takes all the information you need to your logger with only one cable.
