The all-NEW SmartyCam 3 GP camera has been designed for motorsport with a single purpose:
To provide great videos and supply you with all the information you need.
 SmartyCam 3 GP camera overlays all the data from both GPS and AiM loggers connected to your ECU. Full HD camera system, Video output, CAN connection, USB-C connection, and GPS port are only a few of the features of SmartyCam 3 GP: the power of simplicity.

The new SmartyCam 3 GP saves all your information to a supported micro-SD card for up to 2TB of data, this includes speed, RPM, lap number, gear shifts and many more features. With a built-in data logger running on an external power of 9-15 volts, the new SmartyCam 3 automatically powers on and off with your engine – and will start/stop recording for you. Analyse your data from a vast range of sources such as GPS track map, vehicle position and speed, and lap & split times. The format is at H.264 1920x1080 pixels, 60 FPS, and the display resolution of 2.4” 240x320 pixels gives your footage crisp condition. Our quality doesn’t falter, even under the pressure of extreme motorsport conditions such as poor weather, strong vibrations, continuous rain, and high/low temperatures as extreme as -10°C to + 50°C. Our camera is also waterproof (IP65) for extra protection.

Differences between the Standard and Pro Model

Internal Memory:
SmartyCam 3 GP: Stores video data exclusively on an SD card, supporting capacities up to 2TB.
SmartyCam 3 GP Pro: In addition to SD card storage, it features a 64GB internal EMMC storage that operates on a loop recording basis, overwriting the oldest files when full.
Connectors:
SmartyCam 3 GP: Equipped with standard connectors for power, data, and video output.
SmartyCam 3 GP Pro: Includes two AS Micro Xtra Lite Deutsch connectors, offering enhanced durability and reliability in professional racing environments.

These models feature a loom extension supplied by the car manufacturer which has a DTM 4 pin connector on one end carrying CAN and power supply contacts.

SmartyCam 3 GP features a video output with SD interface. It allows you to send the video/audio directly to wherever you choose, for example your pit crew, at 30 or 60fps.

With the built-in data logger experience enhanced RPM, throttle, engaged gears, acceleration, temperatures, and pressures including a tri-axis accelerometer measuring 16G.






The SmartyCam 3 GP provides you with a CAN expansion that connects with many Aim devices such as the Solo 2 DL Laptimer, various Aim Dash Display Loggers, and PDM Dash systems. This is a standard practice within our products, however we have also equipped the SmartyCam 3 GP with unterminated CAN connections which allow you to connect the camera to any system as a standalone feature. No matter your vehicle and equipment, with the unterminated connectors you can run the GP through your CAN/ECU connections. 


The SmartyCam 3 GP includes a global shutter CMOS sensor and a low distortion lens with a field of view of 67°, 84° or 120° covering all areas, its lightweight 200g (battery included) framework infallible in providing you with smooth and effortless footage.


The SmartyCam 3 GP contains a rechargeable lithium battery confined inside its (main) 120.8x80.2x30.9mm (bullet) 24diamx48.2mm body, and using its connectors - 2 Binder 712 female connectors + 2 SMA female connectors (see pinout page) + 1 USB-C - slots right into the back of your dashboard.

Finished with a sleek anodised aluminium coat, the SmartyCam 3 GP is assured to add efficiency, informational data, productivity, and style to your racing. Generic HD cameras focus too much on pixel numbers resulting in large file sizes. The SmartyCam 3 footage has the same quality as other FHD cameras with smaller files due to H.264 compression system parameters being optimised to a perfect balance between video quality and file size. Choose between three file quality levels: O recording = 4GB (High Quality), 2GB (Normal Quality) or 1.5GB (Lower quality).
The SD card housing is 100% protected from air and weathering.

The SmartyCam 3 GP kit seamlessly integrates with the Skoda Fabia R5's ECU, providing real time data overlays for enhanced performance analysis. The SmartyCam 3 GP kit can be connected through the CAN network to our AiM Loggers, MX Series, MXL2, MyChron, Solo2 DL, EVO5 and ECU Bridge.

You can connect more SmartyCam 3 cameras on the same CAN network. The SmartyCam has its configuration and automatically retrieves the data it needs from the network without interfering with the others. You can also synchronize your video and data with the Loggers using Race Studio 3 software.

Configuration
With Race Studio 3 you can create, modify, delete, import and export configurations with all channels, ECU drivers, Math channels, Display Pages, Digital outputs, Alarms, Shift Lights and all the expansions you need. You will also be able to manage the map of all your racing tracks and compare two laps by watching the video recorded by SmartyCam cameras.
Analysis
With Race Studio 3 you can also analyse all data recorded by the SmartyCam and downloaded to your PC: graphs, histograms and tables will help you study your performance, providing objective support to avoid mistakes and improve performance.
