Taipan, Taipan Y, and our brand new variant Taipan Y V2, are the aftermarket plug & play ECUs created by Aim, exclusively designed for off-road bikes.
Thanks to their high technology 32-bit core, they represent an important step forward to improve the performances of your bikes, without sacrificing reliability and smoothness

High technology 32-bit core
Engine control requires precision. At 20,000 RPM the Taipan ECU guarantees a precision of 1/10 of degree: this means an accuracy within 0.8 µsec for turning the spark ON!

Base Map
Up to 5 selectable maps
Taipan can manage up to five maps that can be selected both by OEM switches (Honda, Husqvarna, KTM) or even more easily by the AiM Handle Bar Switch.

UC Bridge Tuner
Using our UC Bridge Tuner, you can create different maps, configurations and strategies designed specifically for your bike. Tuner License: This is the Tuner that is required to configure the unprogrammed Taipan ECU.*
The tuner can then flash them directly onto the ECU or send them via email to allow you to download and install them in the ECU.

Handlebar Switch
The Aim Handlebar Switch is the best way for changing the behaviour of your bike; it features 2 pushbuttons, 10 LEDs and manages the following settings:
Up to 5 selectable maps
Activate traction control
Apply fuel corrections
Activate launch control
The handlebar switch can also be used as a shift light module!
Traction Control
For each map, the ECU has a dedicated traction control main table controlling the power delivered to the rear wheel. Thus, it simply controls the rotational speed of the rear wheel. This drastically reduces the chances of drifting.
Launch Control
For each map, the ECU has a dedicated launch control main table. Launch control is used to help maintain better traction and reduce wheel spin from standing starts. It works by limiting the RPM to a user set amount by retarding the ignition timing as well as cutting ignition events.
